Welcome to The Path of Yoga Family! This school was founded by James French and Rory Trollen… experienced yogis, teacher-trainers and good friends. Betweens us we have taught dozens of trainings all over the world, and our teaching team come from a variety of backgrounds, yogic styles and lineages. We have come together to create this exceptional course and transformational month. All of our courses are lead by either James or Rory, alongside a team of world-class guest teachers. We share a love for a strong yet nourishing dynamic practice married with traditional Hatha. The practically-applied philosophy and sacred traditions of the East, combined with a science based, modern approach make the essence and heart of this immersion course.
Join us for this transformational month… we will live and breathe yoga together, developing ourselves physically and mentally and learning how to teach these transformative techniques to others. At the end of the month you will be a certified Yoga Alliance 200-hour teacher, but more importantly, you will have the necessary confidence, knowledge, and teaching skills to blossom into a world-class yoga teacher.
We look forward to practicing with you!
200 Hr Training
Los Angeles, (Rishikesh, April, 2019)
Everything. Amazing teachers, course material, and has just the right amount of intensity of learning to challenge but not overwhelm the student. There is more quality material in this course than most courses, for a 200hr you learn a lot not just about yoga, but yourself and the world around you and how theyre connected. The locations are ineffably beautiful and the views alone are something to behold. HIGHLY recommend!

Last year I took the plunge and went on Path of Yoga’s 1-month 200-hr teacher training in the birthplace of yoga, Rishikesh. There is so much I would want to write about this experience that so completely overwhelmed my expectations.
But firstly, why Path of Yoga? I had previously been to several of James French’s classes (a founder of Path of Yoga) at Triyoga in London. His classes were so very clearly the product of much love and intention – from the innovative and expertly choreographed vinyasa sequencing, to the generous and insightful references to yogic principles and philosophy, all synchronised and enhanced by the most perfectly-timed playlist. At the end of one of these classes, James was offering flyers to his TTC in Rishikesh… and the rest is history.
Looking back, it is surprising how little I knew about what was in store. I might have expected this month to be a “spa” for body and mind, to have been exposed to encyclopaedic knowledge on the most diverse of “on” and “off-the-mat” yogic topics and to have connected and made friendships with wonderful human beings. And, yes, this all came overflowing and in abundance beyond dreams. But there was more. More even than the perfection of our silent contemplations over breakfast among the mango trees following early morning practise or our invigorating afternoon swims across the chilly rip currents of the Ganges or the singing of Sanskrit verse that we did not truly understand but cherished nonetheless, guided by guitar around an improvised open fire at night.
Thanks to James, we had the benefit of two teacher assistants, Amy and Amritha, each equally passionate about and authentic to yoga as a path of life and equally loving with the generosity and humility of their teachings. James, Amy and Amritha created magic between them and us students reflected our magic right back at them. We ended the course with the knowledge, skills and confidence to begin teaching yoga and the sense that a life-long seed had been planted.
But to stop here would be to ignore the biggest blessing of all – the fountain of love that was created and that I feel so privileged to have experienced and will always treasure. To my Path of Yoga family – thank you from the bottom of my heart. To prospective new students – I have mixed feelings about how these words may inflate your expectations. Best to have none and just take the plunge!

Excellent teacher training. Rory and Amy are both fantastic teachers and create a very good and supportive environment for learning. the course is structured in a very clever way which gives you all the tools you need to be able to teach in a relatively short amount of time. Highly recommended!
